Relief Operations and Donations for Typhoon Victims
RELIEF GOODS FOR TYPHOON VICITMS AND DONATION OF AVIATION FUEL
When a super typhoon struck the country and seriously flooded some areas in the Luzon region lin December last year, RCMFP wasted no time mobilizing everyone and gathering food, clothes and other essentials to be brought via Coastguard helicopters to the tens of thousands of victims, many of whom lost their homes and were vulnerable to starvation and disease. In conjunction with the Philippine Coastguard, hundreds of prepared bags of rice, noodles, canned goods, clothes, blankets, candles, etc. were dropped from the Coastguard choppers to the deeply flooded, hard to reach areas in the affected areas. RCFMP also donated the fuel used by the choppers.

Above: Rotarians bring relief goods to their weekly meeting; relief goods are transported to the hangar and onto the waiting choppers; more relief goods waiting to be loaded; a pilot puts donated fuel while Prez Ben looks on; Rotary Anns and family members prepare the bags of relief goods; Rotarian visits victims in Montalban, Rizal and distributes relief goods in that area.
