RCFP Visits PLM

Following up on the invitation extended by Atty. Adel Tamano, President of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), 15 members of the Rotary Club of Forbes Park, headed by Pres. Ed Escano, visited the PLM campus inside the walled city of Intramuros in Manila last 4 September 2008. Adel, a prospective Rotarian of Forbes Park gave a brief description of the transformation of the local government funded college of Manila from the time that he assumed the top post. Listening intently among members of RCFP included VP Bert Galano, IPP Leo Garcia, PP Bobby Rodrigo, PP Hiro Asandas, PP Palmy Layug, Dir. Tony Lacdao, Dir. Nandy De Jesus, Rtn. Tony Bonoan, Ann Nini Layug, Ann Kim Lokin, and Ann Clem Poblete.

After the briefing, Atty. Tamano led the members of RCFP to the various colleges and facilities of the PLM, including the library, the day care center, employees gym. The visit was culminated with a commitment by Pres. Ed on behalf of the RCFP to donate at least ten (10) computers to the PLM in support of its continuing efforts to deliver quality education to its scholars.

After the PLM visit, the members enjoyed sumptuous seafood at the Seafood Wharf located at the old Army and Navy Club. It was a true learning experience that inspired Rotarians to help our youth Make Dreams Real.
